BLACKPOOL FRUIT, FLOWER AND VEGETABLE SHOW 2017
Blackpool fruit flower and vegetable show was September 2nd. 2017 had some wonderful exhibits including a lot from David's slack Allotments. This is Louise Carlyle for her winning carrots. Others includes Bill Bowie entered GRAPES and an APPLES CRUMBLE John Fisher entered a FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS, John Farnworth entered lovely GLADIOLI FLOWERS, Terry Harrison entered APPLES plus lots more exhibits, it was a good day.
There were a lot of pumpkins grown on our site this year, these are the 4 largest 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th . The winner is Mr. Alan Morris plot 40. 2nd. Mr. Jens Pederson Jnr. Plot 20. 3rd. Mr. John Fisher plot 24. And 4 th. was Mr. David Zakrzewski plot 30. Thank you for every one who grew pumpkins and took part in the competition
POTTERS REST OPENING
The sites new tea room has now has been officially opened and has been given a name and a new sign ‘Potters Rest’ the name was chosen by Julia and David who were instrumental in finding the funding for the tea room. The name was submitted by Ireane Bowie.

2017 Apple Press the sun came out for the annual apple press day. Barrows of apples were cut, mashed and pressed into our very own apple juice. Linked to the day was a BBQ, Cakes and Drinks to help raise money for Macmillian. This year was the first time we have been able to use the sites new tea room the ‘Potters Rest’. The Gazette news paper came down to cover the event.
